Recently, the "Fleeming Jenkin", the world's largest XL-class cable laying vessel (CLV), was successfully launched at the Haimen base of China Merchants Industry, marking its official entry into the final construction phase before delivery. The vessel is scheduled to commence operations in the second half of 2026. Upon deployment, it will be responsible for laying export cables for four 2GW offshore converter platforms under TenneT, with a total length exceeding 2,800 kilometers.
